Here at Owlchemy Labs, we are excited to bring you experimental hand tracking for Vacation Simulator on Quest and Quest 2! Here is our FAQ for Hand Tracking in Vacation Simulator.




HOW DO I TURN ON HAND TRACKING?

1. Inside Oculus Quest menu, go to Settings > Device > Hands and Controllers

2. Enable both 'Hand Tracking' and ‘Auto Switch Between Hands and Controller’ by selecting the toggle buttons

HOW DO I USE MY HANDS IN THE GAME?

• Use a well-lit area for best results: Hand tracking is very environmentally lighting dependant, make sure your play area is well-lit to enable the most optimal hand tracking experience.

• Grab items naturally: Grab items as naturally as you can. No need to do any special hand tracking gestures to grab, just grab!

• Use palm up/finger curl gesture to teleport: : Using one hand, look in the direction you would like to go and hold your hand flat palm up (a green teleport marker will appear), then curl your fingers inward to teleport!
